About Vitamin Hippo

Vitamin Hippo is an independent men’s healthy-aging publication for guys navigating the changes that tend to become more noticeable in their 40s, 50s and beyond. The site covers hormones, strength, recovery, sleep, body composition, sexual performance, nutrition, supplements and selected wellness tools—without pretending every trend is proven or every product is necessary.

About Tim Lekach

Tim Lekach started publishing Vitamin Hippo material in 2020 because he enjoyed trying vitamins, supplements and wellness products for himself and writing about what he noticed. He later brought the site back with a tighter purpose: answer the practical questions men ask as they get older, while making it obvious where personal experience ends and published evidence begins.

Built around the questions men actually ask

Some Vitamin Hippo articles begin with research. Others begin with something Tim noticed himself: recovery taking longer, a supplement he tried, a sleep product that became part of his routine, or a wellness device he encountered and wanted to understand better. The question comes first. The product—if there is one—comes second.

That is why the library ranges from testosterone and growth hormone to creatine, protein, sleep, belly fat, grip strength, libido, compression boots and PEMF. The common thread is not a product category. It is the experience of getting older and wanting a useful answer without the hype.

What Tim has actually tried

First-hand experience is used when it is real and relevant. Examples include GenF20 Plus, HyperGH14x, VigRX Plus, creatine gummies, psyllium, melatonin spray, compression boots and a BON CHARGE PEMF mat. Original photos are used where available. Personal experience is never presented as proof that a product will work the same way for someone else.

How Vitamin Hippo approaches evidence

  • First-hand experience: what Tim personally used, noticed or preferred.
  • Research: clinical studies, systematic reviews and reputable medical or academic sources where they are available.
  • Manufacturer claims: treated as claims, not independent evidence.
  • Uncertainty: when evidence is limited, mixed or absent, the article should say so.
  • Updates: older Vitamin Hippo material can provide useful history, but current guides are updated rather than simply repeating old claims.

A publishing history that goes back to 2020

Vitamin Hippo is a revived publication, not a newly invented author identity. Tim’s older work remains publicly available through his Medium author profile, the Vitamin Hippo publication on Medium, his LifeHack author page, and the original Vitamin Hippo YouTube channel. His Facebook profile provides another public author connection.

That history is increasingly being reconnected to the current site where it is genuinely relevant—for example, an older first-person Medium story may point readers to a current evidence-updated Vitamin Hippo guide.

What Vitamin Hippo is—and is not

Vitamin Hippo is educational publishing, not medical care. It does not diagnose readers, replace a clinician or promise that a supplement, exercise or device will produce a particular outcome. Some pages contain affiliate links; when a purchase may earn Vitamin Hippo a commission, that relationship is disclosed.

The goal is simpler: if a man searches a slightly awkward, highly specific or surprisingly common question about getting older, Vitamin Hippo should give him a clear answer, useful context and a sensible place to go next.
